Migrated Boksmart from Sidekiq & Redis to Solid Queue
We’ve recently migrated Boksmart from Sidekiq to Solid Queue, the new default queuing backend in Rails. This change brings our job processing fully into the Rails ecosystem with no need for Redis. Solid Queue runs entirely on our Postgres database, offering tighter integration with Active Job and improved consistency across environments. While Sidekiq served us well, Solid Queue simplifies our infrastructure and aligns with the direction of modern Rails.

Boksmart Product Update – January 2025
Since this is a direct copy from our internal communication, some names may be swapped with a generic variable.
We are currently onboarding a new client, [Publisher A]. The technical onboarding went smoothly, which is something we’re proud of. Client education will begin in a few days. Meanwhile, we are awaiting data for yet another client, [Publisher B], who will follow the same onboarding process.
Beyond onboarding, our primary focus remains supporting the A-to-Z royalty workflow for our existing clients.
